Issues.

For those who know me, they know that I am a pretty open minded person. I do NOT try to change peoples' views to match mine, and I would NEVER pressure someone into believing something they don't want to believe in. But today, I stepped out of my 'i won't tell you my opinion or convince you to believe me' box and spoke my mind.

There is an article on Yahoo News ( http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_russia_adopted_boy ) that really pissed me off. And you should know I don;t get mad often.

This article was about a woman who put her child on a plane to Russia SENDING HIM BACK, like a pair of jeans, because she didn't want him anymore. She adopted this 7 year old boy from Russia a little less than a year ago, and she was apparently dissatisfied with his psychological issues so instead of trying to find help for him, she put him on a plane by himself with a note saying she didn't want him anymore. This is one of the most disgusting and disturbing things I have ever heard.

Anyone who is adopting or has adopted a child internationally or even domestic KNOWS what they are getting into when applying for adoption. Sadly, children from Russia are treated so horribly in the orphanages that they develop extreme psychological and mental issues due to the neglect. This is a problem with ignorant people who adopt and realize they didn't get a perfect little angel. This is, in my opinion, more of a reason to adopt from Russia. Knowing that there are children who need a loving family and who need help, breaks my heart and, not just since now, but since we adopted my sister from China, I have been determined when I am financially able I will adopt a Russian child because at least the child I adopt will not go to the hands of a horrible family like the mother from this article.

I know this is a little deep, but I am very passionate about this issue and to those who think I am wrong or whatever can shut their mouth and suck it.

Every child deserves a loving home. How would you feel if you were in their shoes, alone and without a family?
