And remember to ask yourself... Who do you think you are?

Politics.

For the past few weeks, in my free time, I have been researching the different political parties our country has to offer. I know I lean to the left, but I didn't feel comfortable just ignorantly proclaiming to be a democrat. Since I am turning 19 in a week, i decided I need to register to vote. When I was in high school, I thought about not ever registering, but now that I am older and more mature, I realized the issues I believe in, need my vote.

I have literally looked into every party I could think of, from socialist to democrat to libertarian. But I think I have finally found the right one. (Well, it's really my second choice. My first choice is the Animal Alliance Environment Voters of Canada, but unfortunately I live in the US and we don't have that party yet) I have decided to register under the Green Party.

Now you may be asking yourself, Why support a minor party? Well, here is my thinking: I am a big supporter of Environmental issues, Gay Rights, Animal Activism, and Education and I feel as though the Green Party is the only party in the USA that supports the issues that I personally care about the most.

So today, I am going to print out my registration forms and fill them out to send in ASAP. I have now realized my vote can count and this November I plan to vote in the California State Election of 2010.
