The Hunger Games!

Well, it's been a LONG while since I've posted on this little jem of a blog! But as I was sending an email to my dad discussing our feelings over the recently released Hunger Games trailer, I thought I would share with you what I liked and dislike about the prospect of this incredible series' new movie!

Here's my BOTTOM 5 about the Hunger Games trailer: (let downs)

5. Gale. Not a fan of Liam Hensworth's portrayal. Pictured Gale a bit more rugged and beat down. But maybe he'll do it justice. Guess we'll find out!

4. Cinna. did not imagine Lenny Kravitz in this role. I had more of a Christian Sirano image. But Lenny may just do the part justice. I'll have to wait and see.

3. The training center. A lot more "metal-y" than I expected. I thought it would be a bit more of an indoor astroturf field.

2. President Snow. Though he would be a lot more "botoxed" out and puffy looking!

1. Cato and the other tributes. I saw Cato as a big football type, as well as some of the other tributes. They're too good looking.


Here's my TOP 5 about the Hunger Games trailer: (pick ups)

5. Effie! I was skeptical when I heard that Elizabeth Banks was announced to play Effie, but I really think  she is going to be great!

4. Haymitch. I also had some doubts about Woody Harrelson, but after just seeing his tiny clip, I think he will really do the part justice.

3. The moment Katniss volunteers. CHILLS. This was the moment I realized Jennifer Lawrence was going to be a great Katniss!

2. Rue. Spitting image of how I imagined her. Her death will be really emotional.

1. PEETA! I know josh Hutherson has gotten some flack, but I think he's perfect! Likable, cute, and genuine. (Plus he was my favorite character while reading the books! I'm excited to see him in hte next two movies!)

Basically, I'm really excited! Look like it's going to be a breath of fresh air in the midst of an era of romantic comedies!
