So I was laying in bed, like 5 minutes ago, and was reflecting on my life and how I feel about it right now... I was trying to figure out why I was having a hard time defining myself and my status, when I realized it was because I'm in a life plateau! I'm at a standstill! Stagnant! My routine has become way too routine. My day goes like this: Classes then gym for an hour then eat something, do homework and go to bed just to wake up an do the whole thing over again! (It's the same on the weekends, just switch out classes with library...) That's literally all I've done everyday for like 3 months!! Well, I NEED to change it up a bit! So I've decided to enact a few things:
1. Go Vegan (again!) I know I've done this before, and it's SO hard, but I feel so much better all around when omitting animal products! My longest stint was 5 weeks, so I'm going to break it this time!
2. Gym + Running.I ran a mile last spring every other day, and my excuse this year was that I lived off campus, well that excuse SUCKS! I have a locker, so I'll take the 5 minutes to put my book and water away to go out to the track and get a few laps done!
3. Do yoga and meditation EVERY day, not just in class. This whole post is stemming from my amazing yoga class today, in which I reached a whole new level of meditation, it's hard to describe, but it was so relaxing and freeing to let everything go for a bit and sink deeper into my conciseness.
4. Break out spring/summer clothes! FINALLY some sunshine, and soon I'll be back in Orange County, so I'll really be able to get out my shorts and sun dresses for the next few months! :)
5. BONUS! One of my wonderful roommates, Katie, and I are doing the Big Foot Race 5k this weekend! FUN!
Remember, there's no day like today to do something to change your life! Go do something positive to improve yourself, right NOW!
